A late 19th century natural pearl and diamond choker necklace, converting to tiara, of scrolling foliate design, set with graduated old circular-cut diamonds and suspending five natural pearls from knife-edge links in silver on gold, on a detachable seed-pearl necklace with a pearl and diamond cluster clasp, the diamond-set front section detaches to be worn as a tiara, diamond section 11.5cm wide, necklace 36cm long, fitted case by Skinner & Co
Accompanied by report number 80267-22 dated 29 July 2020 from GCS stating that the cream pearls measure 2.4 - 6.2mm and are natural saltwater with no indications of treatment. Comment: contains pearls under 3mm, these 'seed pearls' may be natural or cultured.
