Our summer sale of Fine Jewellery on 13th/14th July includes an array of beautiful jewels to suit all tastes.
For collectors of historic jewels and objects, a collection of cameos and intaglios features alongside a rare spinel, enamel and diamond huqqa mouthpiece (1308), and a sublime pair of early 20th century tortoiseshell and diamond hairpins by Cartier (1485). For those looking for some chic Art Deco jewels, headlining the sale is a superb ‘Tutti Frutti’ style ring set with carved emeralds, rubies, sapphires and diamonds by Mauboussin, and a carved emerald and diamond ring by Cartier London, both circa 1925-1930, (lots 1499 and 1500), alongside an exquisite sapphire and diamond lapel brooch (1503), a sapphire, seed pearl and diamond brooch by George Lenfant (1469), and a pair of sapphire and diamond earrings (1502). Excellent coloured stones also make an appearance, including a fascinating Kashmir sapphire poison ring (lot 1408), some beautiful emerald engagement rings (1487, 1488 and 1491), some superb sapphires, as well as a selection of classic diamond engagement rings, including a 6.10 carat brilliant-cut diamond (1478). Finally, a collection of modernist jewels by Alan Davie (1920-2014), and a collection of antique gold pocket watches means that there is truly something for everyone in this summertime sale.
