A magnificent diamond 'Cluster' necklace by Harry Winston, pear-shaped 17.91cts, GIA: F, VS2

£850,000 - £1,000,000

A magnificent diamond 'Cluster' necklace by Harry Winston, circa 1993, designed as a tapering articulated collar composed of pear-shaped, marquise-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds, suspending a detachable pear-shaped diamond pendant weighing 17.91 carats, length approximately 38cm, necklace signed Winston, numbered 1807, maker's mark for Jacques Timey, stamped PT950 and OR, pendant stamped PT950, maker's mark HW, estimated total diamond weight including pendant 98.52 carats

Created in the 1940's, the original cluster motif was inspired by the lush greenery of a holly wreath at Harry Winston's Scarsdale estate. With its quintessentially sculptural form designed to capture light from all directions, the 'Winston Cluster' has evolved as the House's iconic signature style.

Accompanied by GIA report number 16439026 dated 5.12.2007, stating that the pear-shaped diamond weighs 17.91cts and is a natural diamond with F colour and VS2 clarity. Fluorescence: medium.
