A JAPANESE LACQUER TEBAKO BY SHUNSHO/HARUMITSU
EDO PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
The accessory box of rectangular shape, the lid decorated with a small hibari (skylark) flying over flowering peonies, in gold and silver hiramaki-e and togidashi maki-e, the sides with a band of key fret running underneath the rim, the interior decorated in nashiji, signed in gold lacquer Shunsho/Harumitsu and with a red seal for Shunsho, with a paper collection label for the Tomkinson collection, no.492, 12.2cm x 17.8cm x 11.5cm.
