MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH OR 20TH CENTURY
The tall hexagonal bodies decorated with panels enclosing birds perched amongst flowering branches of chrysanthemum, wisteria, hydrangea and others, on a dark navy-blue ground, with bands of geometric designs and foliate patterns around the shoulder and the neck, both stamped on the base with the mark of Ota Kichisaburo and inscribed with a collector's reference number, both 15.6cm.
