The bird perched on an oni-gawara, a traditional roof tile of cylindrical shape with a demon-shaped finial, the grimacing figure with sharp fangs and short horns, the back with ivy leaves and tendrils and with mitsudomoe comma-like swirl symbols to the side, 14.3cm.
