EDO PERIOD, 18TH CENTURY

The quatrelobed body decorated in openwork with a design reminiscent of bog-wood, the rim with scrolling tendrils and with other details inlaid in gold, unsigned, with Hozon Tosogu (Sword fitting Worthy of Preservation) certificate no.4005343 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (The Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword), dated 1st July 2014, in a kiri box, 8.6cm. (3)
