Of elegant circular shape, the rim showing the construction in three layers, unsigned, with Hozon Tosogu (Sword fitting Worthy of Preservation) certificate no.4014655 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (The Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword), dated 22nd February 2019, in a kiri box, 6.7cm. Kenjo tsuba ('presentation' or 'gift tsuba') was a type of sword guard made in Kyoto. They were bought as gifts for the Shogun, daimyos and other important figures.
