A JAPANESE ORIBE CHAWAN BY KATO SHUNTAI (1809-1877)
EDO OR MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
The u-shaped tea bowl raised on a short circular foot and with tall straight sides, decorated with green glaze dripping down from the rim and with two double gourds and vines in black to the side, the base with a stamped mark for Shuntai, together with a tomobako wood box, 10.9cm. (3)
