A CHINESE KO-SOMETSUKE DISH FOR THE JAPANESE MARKET
TIANQI 1621-27
Decorated in underglaze blue, red, green and yellow enamels, painted with two small rabbits prancing underneath a leafy branch, with wisps of mist above it and a large hawk in flight, the moon emerging from behind red clouds, the underside with three sacred pearls and dots, 15.3cm.
Provenance: formerly a Japanese private collection.
