A JAPANESE SATSUMA BOWL BY KINKOZAN
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
The well decorated with a large flower-shaped panel enclosing a scene of two beauties and a little girl in a mountainous river landscape, a lone fisherman on a sampan and two thatched huts behind, the exterior decorated with gilt flowers and scrolling tendrils on a dark navy-blue ground, the base with a gilt seal mark reading Kinkozan tsukuru, 13.1cm.
