TWO JAPANESE BLUE AND WHITE BOTTLES
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
The first an Arita tokkuri sake bottle of square section, each side decorated with flowering chrysanthemum and other plants; the other a Kyoto mizusashi water container shaped as a well bucket, delicately painted with chidori birds and sprays of flowers, a small circular lid to the top, 20cm and 22cm.
