Both realistically rendered, their beaks, eyes and legs picked out in gilt, one leaning forward whilst the other stretches out its neck and flaps its wings, the taller one with a rectangular cartouche underneath reading Chikayoshi saku, the birds raised on a black lacquer stand, 30cm overall. (3)
