A SMALL JAPANESE BRONZE OMIKONO OF A BOY BY MIYAO
MEIJI ERA, 19TH CENTURY
Realistically cast, the child is depicted standing and holding a triangular flag; he wears ornate garments decorated with butterflies and with details in gilt; signed Miyao zo for Miyao Eisuke of Yokohama (act. late 19th c.) in a rectangular cartouche at the back, attached to a wood stand with gold lacquer decoration, 11.5cm.
