A FINE AND RARE CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE 'BIRD AND FLOWER' DISH

Brightly enamelled with a colourful bird perched on a flowering branch of prunus, with leafy branches of bamboo below and a gilt moon above; the rim painted with a border of small blooms in cell diaper, formal flowerheads, and cartouches enclosing beribboned Precious Things, the reverse with three sprays of peony, 26.8cm.
