A RARE JAPANESE KYO YAKI (KYOTO WARE) BOWL
EDO PERIOD, 18TH CENTURY
The square-section body with indented corners, the exterior decorated with a large peony flowerhead and scrolling tendrils painted in thick blue enamel on the unctuous chocolate-brown ground, the rim with a kintsugi gold lacquer repair, 9.6cm. (2)
