A massive Japanese eight-panel byobu (paper screen) in Rimpa School style, ink and colour on gold leaf, decorated with nine red-crowned Manchurian cranes, the majestic birds painted in a variety of postures, two in flight; signed Hoitsu itsu, 179cm x 532cm.
