A JAPANESE SINGLE-CASE GOLD AND BLACK LACQUER INRO BY KAJIKAWA BUNRYUSAI
EDO OR MEIJI, 19TH CENTURY
Of wide form, decorated to one side with a kubi furi tora (bobbing-head tiger toy) and a den-den daiko (double-ended drum), the reverse with a leafy branch of bamboo, the decoration rendered in gold takamakie and with raiden mother of pearl inlays on the black roiro ground, with remnants of a signature underneath for Kajikawa, 7.7cm.
