MEIJI ERA, 19TH CENTURY
Carved as six primates playing around a large double-gourd, a seventh seated at the top and using a hammer and a chisel to force the cucurbit open, the animals realistically depicted and with their eyes inlaid, a two-character mark underneath, 3.5cm.
