MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH/20TH CENTURY

Both decorated with a central scene depicting insects and flowers, one with a spotted butterfly fluttering above chrysanthemum, the other with a firefly resting on a large leaf, both dishes with a band of geometric designs to the rim, one with chrysanthemum mon in lozenges, the underside of both with a pattern of spirals, 30cm and 30.2cm respectively.
