A Japanese two-fold byobu (paper screen), ink, colour and gold on paper, painted with birds in flight and perched amongst pine, bamboo and leafy peony sprays; a stream meandering behind them and with dark clouds above, 147cm x 134cm.
Provenance: a private English collection, acquired in Tokyo c.1969.
