A GOOD PAIR OF JAPANESE SILVER AND ENAMEL IRON VASES
MEIJI 1868-1912
Both finely decorated with scrolling tendrils, prunus flowers and butterflies fluttering to the sides, in mixed metals and with details picked out in polychrome enamels, the necks with silver rings and with stylised confronting cranes in a diamond-shaped panel, a band of key fret above the foot and with gold inlays to the rim imitating nashiji lacquer, unsigned, 24cm.
