Carved as a large shishi lying against her pup, the mythical beast licking its offspring with a tender expression, their long manes and tails with curling hair and with the eyes inlaid in horn, a two character signature underneath, possibly for Ranju, 4.6cm.

Provenance: An English private collection, Surrey.
