A JAPANESE WOOD NETSUKE

Carved as a blind masseur and his client, the first kneeling and pushing his elbow into the other man's clavicle, the client wincing in pain, signed Beizan underneath, 3.8cm.
Cf. Sagemonoya New York, Sans Ivoire, no.42 where this very netsuke is illustrated.
