A GOOD JAPANESE KAKIEMON VASE

C.1680

The ovoid body decorated in iron-red, yellow, green, blue and black enamels with a continuous mountainous river landscape, with thatched buildings to the water's edge, fishing boats and a large weeping willow, the neck with a tooth pattern band, the shoulder with stylised clouds and with two concentric red lines above the foot, 21cm.

Provenance: Christie's London, 11th May 2011, lot 109.
