A RARE JAPANESE KAKIEMON BOTTLE, TOKKURI

The square-section body decorated in iron-red, blue, yellow, green and black with a long tail-feathered ho-ho bird on a branch of flowering prunus, with another smaller bird flying underneath a branch of pine to the other side, with further blossoms scattered over the shoulder and fitted with a European ormolu neck, the base with remnants of paper labels for the G & C Wingfield Digby collection and for Marchant London, 20.5cm.
