THREE JAPANESE FAN PAINTINGS
EDO/MEIJI PERIODS
Two of birds, one depicting an egret on a tree stump by a lake, inscribed Bunkei in pencil, the other a small kingfisher perched on a branch, inscribed 'Setsu-jo, aged seven', the third with a man collecting water from a well, inscribed Chikoku, all three with different artist's signatures and mounted on washi card with gold flakes, 55.5cm x 29.5cm. (6)
Provenance: an English private collection acquired at Christie's South Kensington, London, in 1977.
