A JAPANESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASE

MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY

The baluster body decorated with two sparrows flying amongst bamboo leaves, with sprays of flowering chrysanthemum underneath and on a dark navy-blue ground, the shoulder with a dense pattern of flowerheads amongst leafy tendrils, the neck, foot and rims with bands of geometric patterns, 12cm.
