MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
The baluster-shaped body inlaid in gold, silver and copper, with two large panels enclosing a quail under sprays of millet to one side and flowering hydrangeas to the other, with bands of formal designs to the rims and the shoulder with two large lion-head handles with loose rings, the base signed Dai Nihon Kanazawa Doki Kaisha Sei (Made by the Kanazawa bronze Company), 42.5cm.
