A JAPANESE TWO-FOLD PAPER SCREEN, BYOBU
TAISHO PERIOD OR LATER, 20TH CENTURY
Depicting the lonesome figure of a fisherman mooring his raft in an autumnal landscape, the silhouette of a misty mountain towering above, a low bridge flanked by a forest of pines and red-leaved trees to the right, possibly a depiction of Togetsukyo, the 'Moon Crossing Bridge' in Arashiyama, a red seal mark to the side, 71cm x 182cm.
