MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
Of baluster shape and painted with mirrored decoration, each with two large panels enclosing beauties and children by a lake to one side and a luxuriant garden with banded hedges by a stream to the other, with small birds flying over peonies and wisteria, on a dark navy-blue ground adorned with brocade designs and scrolling tendrils in gilt, both signed Yasuda zo and raised on a wood stand, 18.3cm.
