the ovoid bowl with floral and insect decoration on a turquoise ground between a pair of scrolling dragon and hoop handles, stamped 'Marnyhac' and numbered '1730' beneath a pierced rim and on four similated bamboo splayed legs terminating in toad feet

Maison Marnyhac, also known as La Societe des Marbres et Bronzes Artistiques de Paris were known to employ Edouard Lievre who specialised in 'Japonisme'.
