the brass fusee movement with a split bi-metallic balance to the Earnshaw type escapement, with machine decoration to the backplate, numbered '6038', the circular four and a quarter inch silvered dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and fifty-six hour Down / Up dials, inscribed 'T. L. Ainsley, Bute Docks, Cardiff' with spade hands, the brass bound twin hinged case with a glazed upper section with side carrying handles, with an ivory maker's plaque, numbered '6038'
