the brass four pillar movement with outside countwheel and striking on a bell, the dial with blue enamelled Roman numerals around a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, above enamelled panels inscribed 'Adre FURET A PARIS', the back of the interior with a brass scene of jesters, the base with a chequered design, the case with a surmount, possibly later, with a figure of Time seated on a globe, above an arched, glazed front pane centred with a cherub seated on a dragon, the sides with arched panes, the corners with busts of classical maidens above swept feet; and a confirming bracket with a reverse breakfront platform above scrolling supports applied with masks and floral rondels and a foliate terminal, with key and pendulum
