the brass eight day, twin fusee movement with a verge escapement and repeat mechanism, chiming on a nest of six bells and striking on a single bell, with a scrolling foliate engraved backplate and bob pendulum, with a brass dial with a silvered chapter ring, black Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, the matted centre with a false pendulum aperture, date aperture and applied plaque inscribed 'And. Marchant London', inside scrolling foliate spandrels and beneath a silvered 'Strike Silent' dial to the arch, the case with an ogee caddy top, brass carry handle, glazed doors and brass fishscale side panels
