Day 2 starts with a good selection of continental furniture and works of art, followed by a strong Regency section, the highlight being a rare Regency Goncalo alves side cabinet by the esteemed maker George Bullock, lot 462. Day 2 features a number of rare collectable items including a part set of Regency transformation playing cards, lot 482, a good Staunton pattern chess set with original box and a carton pierre games board, lots 484 & 485. Other highlights include some wonderful Grand Tour objects and sculpture with works by or in the manner of Boschetti, Soldani-Benzi and Carrier-Belleuse. The sale concludes with some Howard upholstered furniture including: a fine matched pair of very large Howard ‘Ivor’ armchairs, lot 676.
