λ An Art Deco carved ivory group of a cherub riding a ram in the manner of Ferdinand Preiss, mounted on a stepped onyx base, 11.3cm high.

Provenance: Purchased by a relative of the vendor's from Isaac Marks Antiques, 94 Grey Street, Newcastle on Tyne, 4th December 1930 for £8 as a pair of ivory figures by Leasden Rose. A copy of the original receipt is available.
