λ An Art Deco carved ivory figure of a naked young lady in the manner of Ferdinand Preiss, mounted on an octagonal stepped onyx base, 16.4cm high.

Provenance: Purchased by a relative of the vendor's from Isaac Marks Antiques, 94 Grey Street, Newcastle on Tyne, 4th December 1930 for £8 as a pair of ivory figures by Leasden Rose. A copy of the original receipt is available.
