λ A George IV rosewood and brass mounted box, the hinged lid with a shaped plaque, engraved with initials 'B B S', with a gilt tooled red leather letter pouch to the underside of the lid and a later lined interior with a lift-out tray, together with a Victorian simulated walnut writing slope, with engraved brass strapwork hinges and mounts, 30cm wide (max).
