λ An Anglo-Indian sadeli tea chest, of sarcophagus shape, inlaid with ebony and ivory stringing and with bands of panels of parquetry mosaic, the hinged lid decorated to the underside, revealing a pair of rosewood and sadeli tea canisters with hinged lids and with an aperture for a sugar bowl, with lion's mask ring handles and cast iron lion's paw feet, Western India, Bombay, first half 19th century, 18.2cm high, 30.2cm wide, 15.4cm deep.
