λ A 19th century Anglo-Indian rosewood Davenport, all over relief carved with scrolling leaves and flowers, with birds and beasts, the pierced and shaped raised back fitted with four drawers flanking a pigeonhole, above a hinged sloping writing surface enclosing two drawers, the right side with a pen and ink compartment, above a hinged door enclosing four drawers with sunken brass handles, with bird front supports and elephant head feet, Bombay, c.1870-80, 124cm high, 75cm wide, 69.5cm deep.
