A rare and early Worcester creamboat, c.1750-53, of simple fluted form with an angular handle, the floral decoration painted in famille rose enamels, the interior with a flower spray and panelled border, 11cm across.
This fluted form derives from a shape used at Lunds, Bristol, usually with a quatrefoil foot. Cf. Simon Spero exhibition 2011 no.12 for a similar creamboat with Chinese style decoration.
