An unusual pearlware Toby jug c.1790-1800
An unusual pearlware Toby jug c.1790-1800, holding the stem of his long clay pipe in his teeth, the usual jug of ale on his left knee, wearing a blue suit with yellow buttons over an ochre waistcoat, the chamfered base edged in green, some restoration, 24.5cm.
Provenance: the Colin Russell Collection. Previously from the estate of Colin Sharp, dec'd.
