A large Nottingham salt-glazed stoneware bear jug and cover mid 18th century, modelled seated on its haunches and clutching a cub between its front paws, its fur depicted in crumbed clay, the snout, paws and collar decorated in a brown lustre glaze, the body pierced to accept a tap, the chain lacking, chips to the feet, 26.7cm.
