A Chinese famille rose hexagonal dish, painted with nine ladies and an attendant in a garden with rockwork and flowering trees, all set against a gold ground, a six character mark for Jiang Zheng long zhi (Made by Jiang Zhenglong), c.1820, a flat chip at 6 o'clock, 25.2cm. Provenance: Acquired by John Reeves after his arrival in Canton in 1812, and thence by descent.
