Six Chinese famille rose bowls with matching saucers, each finely enamelled with figures walking amidst blossoming trees in Spring, beneath gilded blue borders, the interiors and bases glazed green, each piece with a six character iron red Daoguang seal mark and of the period 1821-1850, some small cracks and chips, 10.6cm and 15.4cm. Provenance: Acquired by John Reeves after his arrival in Canton in 1812, and thence by descent.
