A pair of Japanese shibayama tusk vases, each inlaid in mother-of-pearl, ivory and coloured stones, decorated with birds perched in flowering trees and with butterflies above hibiscus, each raised on an elaborate carved wood stand. A few small losses to the inlay. Meiji 1868-1912, 41cm. (2)
