The mythical creature cast seated on its haunches turning its head to dexter, depicted with its mouth open wide revealing its tongue and pointed teeth, with its front right paw resting upon a separate pierced brocade ball, the cover formed as a section of the beast's bony back and flowing fur, the end of its tail removable, with traces of gilding to the animal's body, all raised on a wood base carved with many leaves, 61cm wide, approx 30kg excluding stand.
