A FINE CHINESE RED OVERLAY GLASS YANGZHOU SCHOOL SNUFF BOTTLE ATTRIBUTED TO LI JUNTING
1780-1850
The slender milky-white body decorated with a crane standing on rockwork beneath a tree and holding a lingzhi spray in its beak, and inscribed yan nian yi shou, the reverse with three goldfish swimming beneath a floating branch of flowers, and an oval seal inscribed yi le, 7.3cm.
Provenance: an English private collection, formerly from the Gerry P Mack Collection; later the Richard F Kuenkler Collection, purchased from Wang & Co., October 2007.
