A CHINESE RED OVERLAY GLASS ?DRAGON? SNUFF BOTTLE
QIANLONG 1736-95

Attributed to the Beijing Palace workshops, with an ovoid milky-white body overlaid in the dark ruby red with a single dragon which encircles the body and with a bat to each side, 6.1cm.

Provenance: an English private collection, formerly from the Levendowsky Collection, purchased from Robert Kleiner & Co. Ltd., 25th October 2001, a copy of the invoice is available.
